Our style is the result of a 10-step finish method we’ve developed to take advantage of the wood’s natural tannin. Our finishes are meant to reveal their natural qualities while ensuring wear resistance for regular daily use. A finish we love and have been using often is UV-Cured Oil, or UV Oil for short. Let’s talk about UV Oiled floors and why you’ll love them.

UV OIL – A DIY-FRIENDLY FINISH
Many of our new products are finished in UV Oil. We love UV Oil because of how rich and naturally matte wood floors look with this finish. In addition to a rich natural look, UV oil finishes are durable and resilient: their modern matte look reflects minimal light, meaning that scratches are much less visible. Also, UV Oil’s high-repairability enables anyone to easily touch up scratches locally, blend and refinish floors with products largely available in the market. For that reason, UV Oil finishes are known as a DIY-friendly finish. Maintenance is a breeze! Just be sure you’re using the right products for your floors. For UV-Oiled floors, we recommend WOCA products.

TOUCHING UP AND REFINISHING YOUR FLOORS

HOW TO HIDE SCRATCHES ON UV OIL FLOORS
Wood is a natural product and can be damaged with excessive wear and tear including scratches. If you’ve got a mark on your UV Oiled floors, you can simply apply specific cleaners such as WOCA spot cleaning products on the spot using a soft 100% cotton cloth, rubbing it on directly.


REFINISHING WOOD FLOORS – YOURSELF
While UV Oiled floors do appreciate a fresh coat of oil periodically, the frequency depends on factors such as the intensity of foot traffic and the appearance of the overall floor – do they look dry, dull or ‘thirsty’? When it is time to coat the floors, you can do it yourself and save money for that much-needed vacation! For UV-Oiled floors, we recommend WOCA products.
